Dear Colleague,
Nearly one in every three seniors who die each year has dementia and the economic impact of their disease is staggering. Last year, almost 450,000 North Carolinians provided over $6 billion in unpaid care to relatives with dementia. The impending wave that dementia will have on our city requires more than isolated interventions; it requires a collective community impact.

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has partnered with Charlotte leaders for a unique networking opportunity to discuss the impact of dementia to our city and its residents. Join us on May 2 for the conversation.

Support for this event provided by AARP NC and the North Carolina Institute of Medicine.
